Marketing Coordinator at Vocap Partners

Last summer, I had the unique opportunity to serve as a Marketing Coordinator for Vocap Partners, a leading Venture Capital firm specializing in B2B SaaS with over $100M in assets under management. With no existing marketing infrastructure, I took the lead in developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing function, building a stronger brand identity and digital presence. This role helped me refine my ability to navigate ambiguity, create systems from scratch, and balance strategic thinking with creative execution—all skills I look forward to applying in my next role.

  1. Website Redesign: From Outdated to Outstanding

When I joined Vocap Partners, designing a website wasn’t on my radar—let alone something I thought I could accomplish. I had no prior experience in web design, but on my very first day, I was asked what could be improved, and my answer was clear: the website.

The original website (pictured below) felt outdated and failed to reflect the dynamic, forward-thinking nature of Vocap Partners. It was not aligned with the firm’s values, personality, or the impression they wanted to convey to founders and investors.

Below, you’ll see the transformation: a completely refreshed website that I designed to embody Vocap’s mission and vision. Every element, from the sleek layout to the thoughtful messaging, was crafted to highlight their expertise in B2B SaaS and their commitment to helping entrepreneurs scale.

This project pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me the importance of adaptability and learning on the fly—skills I carry with me in every professional challenge.

2. Rebranding: Building a Future-Focused Identity

As I began the website redesign, it became clear that Vocap’s branding—colors, fonts, and logo—needed a refresh to align with the firm’s modern vision. Recognizing this, I paused the website project to dive into the roots of Vocap’s identity.

I led an introspective process, asking foundational questions such as:

  • What do we want to portray?

  • What are our values?

  • What is our unique value proposition?

  • How do we differentiate ourselves?

These insights guided the creation of a new branding kit that embodies Vocap’s commitment to futurist innovation and trust. The refreshed color palette conveys confidence, forward-thinking, and approachability, while the updated fonts balance modernity and professionalism, reflecting the firm’s dual focus on cutting-edge innovation and practical solutions.

The final brand identity is bold, strategic, and deeply supportive of entrepreneurial growth—perfectly aligned with Vocap’s mission to help businesses scale and thrive.

3. Firm Overview Deck: Cohesion Through Design

With the rebrand complete, the next step was ensuring all digital assets reflected Vocap’s new identity. One key project was redesigning the Firm Overview Deck, a critical tool for communicating Vocap’s mission, vision, and unique value to founders, investors, and stakeholders.

The original deck (pictured below) was outdated and didn’t align with the fresh, modern identity we had established. I took on the task of redesigning it, using the new color palette, fonts, and design elements to bring it up to date.

The final result is a clean, professional deck that better represents Vocap’s values and personality while making their story more engaging and accessible to their audience.

4. Newsletters: Driving Engagement Through Strategic Campaigns

As part of Vocap’s marketing initiatives, I designed and executed three targeted email newsletters using Mailchimp, reaching over 10,000 stakeholders. Each newsletter was thoughtfully crafted to align with Vocap’s refreshed branding and to engage a diverse audience of founders, investors, and entrepreneurs.

By leveraging Generative AI tools for content optimization and applying insights from analytics, I improved open rates by 4% and click-through rates by 1%, demonstrating measurable progress in audience engagement. These campaigns showcased Vocap’s thought leadership while driving meaningful connections within its network.
